Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
This policy applies to browsing pages, navigating the site, and using download links on clash-win64.com. It explains what access data this site processes, why it does so, and what visitors can do. Data handling by client software, subscription services, and external websites is covered by their own policies, not this one.
1. About this site and the data we process
This is a static content site. It has no user accounts and does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number. It does not collect subscription links, proxy passwords, or payment details through its pages. You can read guides, browse configuration references, and visit download pages without submitting any of this information.
When you visit a page or request a file, the network service receives information needed to deliver it, such as your IP address, requested URL path, access time, browser type, and response status. This information may be recorded in server logs to troubleshoot connection issues, investigate unusual requests, and keep the service available. Site pages do not read configuration files or proxy traffic on your device.
2. Traffic analytics and how we use them
This site uses Matomo analytics to understand page views, referral sources, device categories, and download platform choices. For example, when you select a platform tab on a download page, the selected platform may be recorded to help us assess whether download links are easy to find and which system requirements need more detail.
Analytics help us assess how content is used and improve the site; they are not used to build individual visitor profiles. The information recorded depends on the deployment configuration, your browser settings, and whether the analytics script loads successfully. Do not include subscription links, passwords, or other sensitive information in URL query parameters on this site, as they may be transmitted with the request or included in analytics records.
3. Cookies and local storage
Depending on the deployment configuration, analytics may use cookies to distinguish visits or avoid counting repeat activity more than once. Configurations that do not rely on cookies may still collect basic traffic statistics. Your browser cache may also store pages, fonts, and scripts to reduce repeat downloads.
This site does not provide a login session that needs to be kept long term. The selected download platform may be restored from a fragment identifier in the URL, such as a platform anchor on a download page. This method does not by itself write data to cookies or local storage. You can review, restrict, or clear related records in your browser's site data settings. After clearing them, some visit-related state may be recalculated.
4. Third-party links and downloads
This site may link to client websites, app stores, or file-hosting services. When you follow an external link, the destination may receive data such as your IP address, browser information, and referring page, and its own privacy policy will apply. Even when a download starts from a button on this site, another service may handle the file transfer.
Before downloading, check the client name, target platform, and source of the release. During installation, review permission prompts and the software's privacy information. The original Clash for Windows project is no longer maintained; the risks of keeping an existing setup differ from those of installing an alternative client. Our client selection guidance does not guarantee how third-party software behaves.
5. Your choices and feedback
You can restrict cookies, clear site data, or block analytics scripts in your browser. Restricting analytics usually does not affect access to static page content, but disabling all scripts may affect navigation, platform selection, or download link updates. Private browsing does not prevent network services from receiving information needed to process your requests.
If you have a usage question, first check the relevant steps in the FAQ or user guide. Before contacting the maintainers of related software, redact subscription links, access credentials, and personal file paths from screenshots and logs. Avoid sharing complete configuration files. This site does not ask you to submit this information on a public page.
6. Policy updates and scope
If analytics settings, site features, or data handling practices change, this policy will be updated on this page along with the last-updated month shown at the top. We do not send notifications to registration email addresses; check this page when you visit. Any new data uses will be explained in the updated policy.
This policy covers only data handling on this site. It does not apply to operating systems, browsers, client software, or subscription providers. For information about data retention, deletion, and permissions on external services, consult their policies and settings.
